Big balls in Riverdale

The dog days of summer are upon us and Vincent stops to wade in olde Cabbagetown's freezing cold splash pad. Note the quivering lips.

Still, it's nicer than the 33 degree humidex.

Afterwards it's time for Ellen's favourite sport: bungee dodgeball. Avoidance is the essence of dodging which is the essence of getting out of the way. Is it forced perspective or is Vincent playing with a big ball? Only the shutterbug knows for sure.

The ball is great for Vincent to practise his crawling. He can now climb seven of fourteen steps upstairs before tiring or stopping to admire the view from a standing position....an action which strikes fear in his parents' hearts. See the bruise? That's from crawling on a level surface faster than limbs can be coordinated. We can only imagine the damage of a more vertical slip-up.

If you can dodge a ball, you can dodge a flat surface!

nothing like cooling down
in good old cabbagetown
those quivering lips
soon show off a smile
in beating off the humidex
just look at those pearly whites
are they aiming to give aunt Lindsey the bite? :)
I'd say aunt E might agree!!

that dodge ball bungee is the key
to avoid vampire type injury
from this little tiny freaky baby
as his papa can attest
to the strength of his prowess
in enduring so unexpectedly one day
much to his astonished dismay
twas blood sweat and tears
but have no fear
unlike the band singers
these parents are aware
that things can still be groovy
with a sweet baby so dear
dodging a huge ball
or dodging a tiny baby
makes for a funky family
forced perspective it may be
from now on it's baby
bungee ball baby dodgy

looks like baby vincent
is at it again
from that scratch
he must have snatched
that square vent
from the floor
he has to explore
what's in there
and oh such a bruise
was it that hard
to open the cupboard door
and play with the tupperware
sounds like you're fearless
if going up the stairs
is your latest
that's way too scary
you crawl at over the speed limit
you're bound to get a ticket
good thing the parental police
have their microphones and radar
otherwise you could look a lot worse.
