Happy 4th Birthday, Myra!

Dear Myra,

Our little Moo. Where did you come from? Every time we look at the incredibly funny, stylish and offbeat girl you are becoming, we feel so lucky to be your mom and dad.

You are a woman who knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to speak her mind. You delight in the sensual things in life….taking time to smell the spices, knead the bread, soak in a hot bath. You love cooking with your mama and baking with your dad-do and are quite skilled in the kitchen.

Your favourite foods right now are kale, salt, carrots, salt, tamari almonds, tofu with soy sauce, rice, salt, chocolate and ice cream. And did we mention, salt?

You love to paint, colour and make art. You like to roleplay as a hairdresser, make-up artist and doctor. Your favourite place is in the water…at the beach, at Great Wolf Lodge, in the pool, in the hot tub. You love looking at pictures, and reading Little Red Riding Hood and Cinderella. We love the songs you make up that are improvised on the spot.

You can also be very demanding and have a bit of a temper. You are a wrecking ball when you are tired and can be sneaky given the chance. You have Daddy’s stubbornness and we all live in dread of the teenage years. You spend hours riding your bike “to the rock and back” and squeeze in as many extra turns as you can before it’s bathtime. You look up at us and ask, “just one more time? I promise, I’ll do ANYthing!”

Indeed, you have a stable of crazy expressions you’ve made your own, such as:
